How to Make Your Christmas Dinner Hassle-Free

by Matt Jensen - December 2, 2019

Christmas is when you push away all your grievances, sorrows, and enmities to look at the bright side of things. Families sit together at the table, engaging with each other in love, happiness, and laughter. Smiles are shared, presents are exchanged, and happy moments are collectively cherished.

So before you invite your loved ones over for annual Christmas Barbecue, make sure you’ve left all the hassle behind.

Here are a few ways you can make your Christmas dinner hassle-free:

Start early!

You’ll be surprised by the number of things you can prepare ahead of time. For instance, how about you prepare the stuffing a few days before and stock it in the freezer? Other food items that can be frozen include roast potatoes, turkey, and even marinade! With turkey, make sure you brine the bird around 12 hours prior to the event. Prolonging the process can make it dry.

Assign a few hours to cut and boil the vegetables the night before. Immerse them in water and keep them in the fridge. Moreover, check whether the oven trays are in order and that you’ve got enough cheese in the fridge. Lastly, check the cutlery cabinet to make sure you’ve got enough for the guests.

All leaves no little tasks for the big day. Remember, this isn’t an exhaustive list; prepare ahead wherever it makes sense.

Get the family involved

You don’t necessarily have to jump into all the tasks on your own. Christmas is all about enjoying quality time with friends and family. How about you put on your Santa aprons and get down to business together? Get the kids involved and get them to set the table or clean the forks.

A potluck isn’t a bad idea either. It’ll only add to the variety on the table and make it richer and tastier.

However, don’t forget that too many cooks….

Get a maid

The most taxing Christmas dinner chore is cleaning up after the guests have left. But with a maid, that’s a non-issue. The best part? You don’t need a full-time maid to carry out the work.

Hire one just for the day. This way, you can spend time with guests and go to bed without being tired. A maid will also help clean the house before the arrival of the guests, and, they’ll be better at it than you.

If you’re looking for a maid service in Rockville, Budget Maids is your best bet. You can choose your cleaning schedule and check the prices online.
